re genius level iq, im have asd and a 99.7% percentile iq, and i know many of my aspie friends happen to also have abnormally high iq, but although high iq is not discriminated against by itself, in a combination with the social aspect of autism people can view it as some sort of "you're so smart but really dumb" kind of way and that's :/// ehh but i would not consider solely genius iq to be neuroatypical

basically two entire generations having ptsd and new muggleborn students with traumatic backgrounds finally being treated w/ respect and understanding in the magical world when they melt down and being able to heal as much as they can, please
Hermione has Asperger's and when she was younger and in muggle school everything was so hard for her so she fell into books and spent most of her time living in a fantasy world of her own creation to cope with not having any friends, but then she got her Hogwarts letter and it was like a literal dream come true for her. It wasn't easy there either but it was better and Harry knows and looks out for her when she seems like she's going into sensory overload mode
luna with synesthesia who sees colours with sounds so her world's always filled with colour and beauty but after being captured and held at the malfoys the colours aren't all so beautiful anymore and some obscure reality
