Emily Graslie and The Brain Scoop are leaving Missoula, Montana and moving to the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. This is a huge accomplishment for Emily and for the show, so I figured that it merited a bit of fan art. I decided to go for a bit of a comic book style with this one. Line art, flattened color, full color, and final (with additional value-based shading) versions are shown.
Congratulations, Emily! You’ve landed your dream job! I honestly cannot think of a better match than you and the Field Museum. With your passion and enthusiasm for what you do, they are as lucky to have you as you are to have them. I’m looking forward to hearing about your adventures there.
I know that you’re leaving a lot behind to follow this dream, but I’m sure that Missoula will be in your heart for years and years to come.
I’m totally in love with this. Jim is awesome! He is also responsible for this really fantastic illustration of Soon and me.
Thanks so much for the artwork!
if you arent in the Pandom, I’m judging you.
i got sucked into the Pandom
I didn’t even know there was a Pandom but I’m there.
I think I might have just joined the Pandom.
Me: ”So it is this show about a 900 year old alien called a Time Lord and he is called The Doctor and he travels through time and space in a blue police box called the TARDIS which stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space and he has a companion with him most of the time AND IT IS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!!!!!”

BUT THEN THERE ARE SOME WHO ARE SECRET WHOVIANS:
Imagine being a Doctor Who fan in 1966 though.
“Oh dear, what’s happening? Is the Doctor dying?
Wait.
What. The. Shit.”
This made me want to cry.
omg
Nope. This is the best thing on tumblr. Two men having a fair battle, through graffiti. And in the end, their true honour shows. This is just wonderful.
